Door Construction:
Mortise & Tenon Construction is one of the strongest methods of building wood doors and other wood furniture. It is one of the oldest wood joinery methods and has proven itself over time. That's why experienced woodworkers around the world prefer using Mortise & Tenon joints to any other, offering strong and durable construction for many years to come. We also use LVL, "Laminated Veneer Lumber" also known as engineered core for all door stiles. LVL is a technologically advanced method of building quality wood door stiles to reduce warping.
Automatic Door Bottom:
Our wine cellar doors come standard with an automatic door bottom. This creates a seal between the door gap and the floor at the time of closing. It lowers for a tight seal when closed and retracts into the door when opening, eliminating floor drag. Available on all single doors. This will ensure a tight seal to your wine cellar environment.
Distressing:
By distressing the wood door you give it a time honored, old world look as if it's been there for many years. We distress all our doors using a hand hewn process, and no power tools or high tech machinery are ever used for this process. Distressing gives your door character and a warm appeal. Choose a light or heavy distressing distressing, depending on the look you desire. Due to the custom nature of this process no two doors will ever look exactly alike.
Wrought Iron Work:
All Wine Racks America iron work is hand forged
by skilled artisans who have carried
on the tradition of hand forging
for many years. Due to the nature
of the product, no two pieces are
alike, which adds to the beauty of
the finished product.
Wine Racks America decorative
hardware will enhance the
beauty of your door. We take the extra step of sandblasting the
wrought iron before powder coating to remove any iron crust and achieve a beautiful
lasting finish.
